Bandstand, Clapham

Reputedly the largest Bandstand in the UK the structure had deteriorated badly and was in need of a major overhaul. The Cast Iron Company with its unrivalled experience in conserving architectural metalwork was selected to undertake the refurbishment of the columns and spandrels which were all severely corroded.

The original casting had been manufactured by The Sun Foundry circa 1870 and although the cast iron radius balustrade was missing the company was able to faithfully reproduce castings from the original Sun Foundry pattern book.
